Custom Code Migration and Adjustment:

• Use Transport Organizer Tools (SE03) to transport custom code from the source to the target system.
• Create transport requests to move scoped custom code to the target system.
• Run ATC checks or Custom Code Impact Analysis to identify necessary code changes.

Manage Central Customizing:

• Configure all EWM customizing directly in the embedded EWM system.
• Replicate central master data from ERP to S/4HANA for relevant objects like customers, vendors, carriers, materials, and batches.

Central Master Data Replication from ERP (ECC & Decentral)

SAP HANA Logistics functional roles (MM, SD, PPOM) are responsible for replicating master data from ERP (ECC & Decentral) systems to S/4HANA for the following objects:

• Customers
• Vendors
• Carriers
• Materials
• Batches

Note:

• Once materials are replicated to S/4HANA, they automatically generate product master data in embedded EWM.
• Only the extension of product master data needs to be done in the embedded EWM system.

Managing Local Customizing:

• Copy EWM-specific configuration from the source Business Suite EWM system to the target EWM system on S/4HANA.
• Transport customizing settings, including BC-Sets and SCMP table comparisons.
• Differentiate between warehouse-independent and warehouse-specific customizing.

Pre-Cutover Activities:

• Handle and close open business documents like stock transfers, physical inventory documents, and work orders.
• Perform a thorough cleanup of stock, RFC queues, IDOCs, and other relevant data.
• Classify documents by status and finish those that have been started.
• Operationally stop delivery distribution to EWM in the days leading up to the migration weekend.

EWM Stock Migration (Cutover Activity):

• Migrate EWM stock and perform stock reconciliation for quantity in EWM and sign-off.

Activate Interfaces:

• Activate interfaces for transactional data transfer after the go-live.
